        What is the relationship between the canvas and its supporting structure and the space outside the painting?
 

I put the cut canvas on the board or hang it up. Focus on the feature of the site: a strong scaffolding structure. I set up the original wooden platform in the venue, adding a white irregular picture. Open the wooden board (picture) of the floor and put in the light to highlight the bracket of the wood.I also made a bracket that supports the frame less canvas. The canvas is like a set, and the exposed bracket faces the audience. The light of the
environment and the prosperous plants enter the space through the glass. I used different ways to present the relationship between the picture and the structure. The scattered objects are like a theater, and the viewer can shuttle and stay inside.

 

 

       畫布與其支撐的結構,與畫外空間關係為何?我裁切過的畫布並不固定在內框上,而是平貼在木板上或是披掛而起。著眼於畫外空間-場地的特性:即強烈的支架結構;我將場地裡原有的木台立起,加上了白色不規則型的畫面,以及掀開地板的木板(畫面)安裝入光源,以燈箱凸顯木頭支架。我尚製作了支撐無內框畫布的支架,架起了如同布景般的平面,並將其裸露面對觀者,環境光與叢生的植物,透過通透的玻璃進入空間中。用了不同方式去呈現畫面與支撐畫面的結構間的關係,揭露背後的支架,畫面與布和顏色,散落的物件形成了彷彿劇場般的視覺經驗,而觀者能夠在其中穿梭停留。


         一直希望我的畫面是可進入的,我於空間裡搭建了一個場景,繪畫與物件散落布置在各處,從室內到戶外空間以一種破碎卻又相關聯的敘事串連而起。
